I recently read a pretty good article on the Photo shelter blog about which photography contests may or may not be worthwhile to enter. The blog entry had comments from the winners themselves. The main concerns were costs vs. benefit ..interesting perspectives – read them here.
In the meantime, here’s a contest that’s free to enter for all community college students – the catch? Specific categories and the potential use of your image to market community colleges – however – the prizes are great and I can say that as a former judge – the crop of photographs from which to choose has been slim pickings in the past – which means your chance to win is pretty good. Plus, if you copy me in on your entry – I’ll give you extra credit points!
